We elected former actor, Ronald Reagan, to be president as the Iran hostage crisis dragged on. Steve McQueen died from cancer as John Lennon is shot & killed one month later. The Philadelphia Phillies, L.A. Lakers & Pittsburgh Steelers (4th in a row) won titles. Jane Fonda told us that the way to wear those skin tight Jordache jeans at the rollerdisco was to buy her workout video. We flocked to theater to see the Star Wars sequel, The Empire Strikes Back, 9 To 5, Airplane!, and Oscar-winning performances in Ordinary People, Coal Miner's Daughter & Raging Bull.
